Director, Golden Power Office, Presidency of the Council

Bernardo Argiolas is Director of the Office for the coordination of foreign direct investment screening (the so called, in Italy, “Golden power”) at the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers, which joined in May 2020. He is also member of the Group of experts on the screening of foreign direct investments into the European Union. He previously worked for the Italian transport regulator ART from 2014 to 2020 and was Head of ART’s Surveillance and enforcement Directorate. He also worked for the Italian communications regulator AGCOM from 2009 to 2014. He is the author of articles and speeches in the areas of administrative law, public economic law and market regulation. He has been lecturing in administrative law at University level (Bachelor, Master and PhD) since 2001.
