Manager of Office I – Emergency Telecommunications Service, Civil Protection Department

Gabriella Casertano, architect, since 2021 is director of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Department of Civil Protection, accountable of the emergency telecomunications service.

In this role, she provides for the development of organizational models and procedures to facilitate the operation of the radio/tele-communications of the national service in emergency situations, as well as the planning of the use and management of the equipment and technologies of the Department competing with the governance of the emergency radio and satellite communications system.

From 2007 to 2021 in service at the regional Civil Protection Agency of Lazio region, holding coordination and management positions in the regional Operations Room, contact person for the implementation of Legislative Decree 105/2015, relating to industries accident risk and responsible for the planning of forecasting, prevention and active fight against forest fires.

Until 2007 she worked as a freelance architect, covering the roles of planner, construction manager and tester.
